A rocket launcher is an item which fire an unguided, propelled rocket-propelled missile, but the term is commonly used more commonly in reference to lightweight, portable devices that can be operated by a single person. While the mechanism used is entirely different from the conventional type of launcher used in military operations today, it still has the same purpose and is used to provide a mobile delivery system for explosives, missiles, and ammunition.
One of the most popular types of launchers being used today is the "mobile" or remotely-piloted, system. This type of system is most commonly found in the military, but it is also widely used in civilian applications, including those for law enforcement and military training. One main reason why many companies and organizations are choosing this type of system is the fact that it can be easily operated from the ground, rather than having to have one on-site at their facility. The use of this kind of system is becoming increasingly common in both military operations and civilian ones, as it can make the use of a gun or a rifle obsolete, and allows a single individual to fire multiple rounds of ammunition without having to move from his current location. Other applications of the mobile or remote-piloted system include law enforcement operations and, of course, the military.
Rocket Launchers have been known to be used for centuries in war and in the past, they were often used by military organizations, especially during battles between armies in battlefields. Nowadays, they are being used almost everywhere, including in the civilian world, as long as they are properly maintained and not used against civilians. Because of their lightweight, quick firing capabilities and ability to target multiple targets at the same time, rockets are a very effective weapon for both tactical and military purposes.
